Spokane Chiefs double Hurricanes 6-3
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — The Lethbridge Hurricanes were coming off two straight losses Wednesday (Feb 19) night, as they hosted the Spokane Chiefs, who needed a single point to clinch a playoff spot.
Fortunately, the Canes had already nailed down their playoff chances, they were defeated by the Chiefs 6-3.
Nine minutes into the first period, after some heavy pressure by the Chiefs, Bear Hughes buried the rebound off of shot from league leader in points, Adam Beckman.
Five minutes later, the Chiefs break out with a two-on-one rush and Jack Finley gets the nice feed across from Beckman and he pops in the one-time to make the 2-0 for the Chiefs.
