Yates ticket centre opens for payments needing to be made to City of Lethbridge

Jun 13, 2020 | 6:00 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you need to pay your property taxes or other city bills in person, you can go to the Yates Memorial Theatre.

The ticket centre already has plexiglass barriers between cashiers and the public, but the same cannot be said for city hall.

“This location is being opened while work is done at City Hall to ensure proper safety protocols are in place,” reads a media release from the City of Lethbridge. “Once City Hall does reopen, the Yates will help add capacity to ensure payments can be accepted safely during peak times.”

The city asks that, if you need to pay your bills in person, you should consider using debit rather than cash, staying at least two metres away from other, wearing a face mask if possible, using hand sanitizer before and after, and to stay home if you are not feeling well.

You can learn about other ways of paying bills to the city here.

It should be noted that the Yates ticket centre will be staff by city hall cashiers for the time being, not ticket centre staff. Business related to the ticket centre can be directed to ticketinfo@lethbridge.ca or 403-329-7328.

Pending any delays, the first floor of city hall should be opened to the public on Monday, June 22.
