No risk of flooding, but stream flows on Oldman River high
LETHBRIDGE, AB – After a couple of days of heavy rain, you might notice the Oldman River flowing much higher and faster than usual.
LNN reported on Canada Day that the area got 84.3 mm of rain in just two days.
The City of Lethbridge says this has resulted in stream flows rising from 200-250 cubic metres per second to 730 cubic metres per second.
The river is approximately 1.5 metres deeper than we would normally see in early July.
