Report of suspicious activity leads to three arrests in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have charged two people and arrested a third after seizing weapons and drugs following a report of suspicious activity late Monday.
On November 8, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in an alley in the 2500 block of 13 Avenue North at around 11:30 p.m. Three people were arrested inside a detached garage and a small quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine was seized, along with weapons.
Police say weapons seized included 11 throwing knives, plastic knuckles, bear spray and a pellet gun.
27-year-old Nevada Vander Meer, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon. Police say he also had 10 outstanding arrest warrants and was released from custody for a scheduled court appearance on November 26, 2021.
