Late night fire destroys cherished Southern Alberta attraction
WARNER, AB – Creepy Hollow near Warner caught fire unexpectedly between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Glory Reimer is one of the owners of Creepy Hollow and she says they’re unsure how the fire started.
“We were hanging out in our Monster Hall building, playing card games and board games with the kids,” said Reimer. “Then some of the folks walked towards our new stage to see, the stage at night. And we could hear crackling from the house and the smoke coming from somewhere. And so we all started panicking and called 911.”
Reimer says both the haunted house and library burned down, and says besides the buildings themselves, they lost a significant amount of items that can’t be easily replaced.
