OTTAWA —  Fertilizer Canada has a newly-updated educational manual and video to provide more recent and comprehensive information for framers needing to renew their training on the safe handling of anhydrous ammonia fertilizer.

Anhydrous ammonia fertilizer is a key source of nitrogen used by farmers across Canada to improve crop yields.  It’s safe to work with ….. when stored, transported, and handled properly.

To that end, Fertilizer Canada is offering its members the training resources to help reduce the opportunity for negative incidents.

Fertilizer Canada and its members are certified through three Codes of Practice. Compliance with these Codes (covering anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate and calcium ammonium nitrate) is mandatory for Fertilizer Canada members.
