Coaldale Ambulatory Clinic reopening date pushed back

Jun 17, 2022 | 5:02 PM

COALDALE, AB – The re-opening of the Coaldale Health Centre ambulatory clinic has been delayed by two weeks.

According to a news release June 17, 2022, the ambulatory clinic will re-open on July 4 due to scheduling conflicts, not June 20 as was previously announced.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) originally closed the clinic in March 2020 as part of its COVID-19 response.

AHS says the ambulatory clinic diagnoses and treats non-urgent, non-life-threatening conditions, including:

  • minor cuts or burns
  • strains and sprains
  • mild vomiting and diarrhea
  • earache
  • minor allergies
  • minor respiratory infections
  • urinary infections
  • a simple removal of foreign objects

The Coaldale Health Centre laboratory remains open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are not available, and appointments must be booked online.

AHS say individuals who require emergency medical care should call 911, and those who need non-emergency care should call their family doctor.

To speak to a nurse and receive telephone advice and health information, call Health Link by dialing 811.
