Charges laid in connection to fatal motorcycle collision in south Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says charges have been laid in connection to a fatal collision in south Lethbridge last month.
Police say a car collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of Mayor Magrath Drive and Scenic Drive South shortly after 7:30 p.m. on October 4, 2022.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist was transported to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the car, Rowell Lapuz Legaspi, 46, of Lethbridge has been charged with careless driving under the Traffic Safety Act. The charge includes an automatic court appearance, which is scheduled for November 17, 2022.
