LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Polytechnic has named its valedictorian for the Fall 2024 Convocation.

Therapeutic Recreation – Gerontology student Stephanie Leafloor has been named valedictorian of the last class to graduate from Lethbridge College.

Leafloor earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average throughout her two-year diploma program, which she completed online. Leafloor said, “I was in complete shock. I knew I had done well, but I never imagined this. It was a pretty proud moment for me.”

Leafloor’s diploma is her second from the school, as she graduated from the Practical Nurse program in 2009. She then worked as a nurse until 2017, when she became a stay at home mom.

Fall 2024 convocates will be the last students to receive a parchment from Lethbridge College, as the institution transitioned from college to polytechnic over the summer.

The ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 19 in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
