City of Lethbridge hosts job fair to fill 80-100 positions

Mar 10, 2025 | 2:03 PM

The City of Lethbridge is hosting its first-ever job fair, offering an opportunity for residents to secure stable employment in municipal services.

With 80 to 100 positions available across three departments, Parks & Cemeteries, Waste & Wastewater, and Transportation, the event aims to connect job seekers with roles that keep the city running smoothly.

The job fair is designed to attract candidates for a range of labor positions.

Gabby Williams, Organizational Effectiveness Manager for People & Culture, says, “I think it’s a really great way to connect with community and also give candidates an opportunity to interview on the spot, which is a bit unique, and so you have an ability to meet all three departments if you’d like, if you’re interested in any of those roles.”

Each department has a variety of positions available:

  • Parks & Cemeteries: Laborers responsible for lawn mowing, pesticide application, playground and park maintenance, and caretaking duties.
  • Transportation: Crews focused on paving, cement work, and general labor across infrastructure projects.
  • Waste & Wastewater: Laborers assisting with daily operations and additional duties in waste management and water treatment.

The job fair will take place March 11, 10 am-6 pm, at the Cavendish Farms Centre, and visitors are encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. Additionally, there’s also a virtual job fair on March 12th, from 10 AM to 6 PM, for people who can’t attend the in-person fair.
