LETHBRIDGE - The drug crisis Lethbridge has been dealing with over the last couple of years is negatively impacting the economic viability of the downtown, and the Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ) has a responsibility to relay those concerns to members of City Council.

ASIRT to investigate man’s death following contact with Lethbridge Police

LETHBRIDGE – The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been directed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 48-year-old man following an encounter with an officer from the Lethbridge Police Service on the evening of Oct. 3.

Defence application to strike sexual assault, child luring guilty pleas set for February

LETHBRIDGE – A hearing has been scheduled for early next year, at which time a Coaldale man will get a chance to convince a judge that guilty pleas he entered to charges of sexual assault and child luring should be struck from the record.

Alberta Justice adds $4.5 million for services, tools and aid victims of crime

CALGARY --   The provincial government announced on Friday (Oct 19) that it is adding another $4.5 million to its Victims of Crime Fund.

Hong Kong man sentenced after admitting to voyeurism, child porn charges

LETHBRIDGE – A 19-year-old Hong Kong national has been handed a one-year jail sentence, after admitting that he recorded people – including children – using the men’s change room at the University of Lethbridge swimming pool.
