COALDALE – One local man is $1.2-million richer as of Thursday (Nov. 24) morning!

Robert Miller, a Coaldale resident, went to get his morning coffee and check three tickets for the November 11 Lotto Max draw.

“When I scanned my third ticket, I saw a bunch of numbers pop up on the screen. I had to scan it again to really look at the prize amount,” he said in an interview with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

“I left the store, but I couldn’t believe it. I took the ticket back inside and checked it again – it was still a winner!”

Millers says he’s going to use the $1,257,244.10 to travel, set up education funds for his grandchildren, replace his and his wife’s vehicles, and is looking forward to the added financial security.

He purchased the winning Lotto Max ticket at Garden Grove Service. It matched six of the seven main winning numbers – 6, 14, 18, 20, 39, 46 – and the bonus number, 23.
