Lethbridge Conservative candidate denounces anti-Trudeau election signs

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The city’s candidate with the Conservative Party of Canada is decrying a series of signs that encourage people to vote for the Conservatives this month.

Rachael Harder, who is the riding’s incumbent, posted a photo of the sign to her Facebook page on Wednesday evening.

The sign reads as follows: “JUSTIN TRUDEAU IS A SANCTIMONIOUS FRAUD. TAKE ACTION. VOTE CONSERVATIVE.”

“They’re not at all from my campaign efforts,” says Harder. “It’s a private citizen that has gone about putting them up.”

The signs are also not part of any official messaging from the Conservative Party of Canada.

She says she wants to run a clean re-election campaign and does not want to resort to dirty tactics to try to get ahead.

“I think voters have watched as I have done my best to put forward a positive campaign here in Lethbridge to talk about the positive message that the Conservatives have here for Canada.”

Harder told Lethbridge News Now that she is unsure of how many of these unauthorized signs were put up or if they were more heavily concentrated on any specific neighbourhoods.

Either way, she says she and her team take this matter very seriously.

“My team and I have already reported the signs to Elections Canada and now it’s up to Elections Canada to take action with regards to handling what’s taken place.”

If anybody would like to get an election sign that encourages others to vote for Harder and the Conservative Party, Harder asks that you contact her campaign office directly.
