City of Lethbridge conducting phone survey on its operating budget

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you would like to tell the City of Lethbridge how it should be utilizing its tax dollars, now is the chance.

In advance of doing its operating budget review in November, IPSOS will conduct a phone survey on behalf of the city for the next two weeks until September 6.

They will look to gather information and feedback from residents and to identify areas of improvement.

Back in May, City Council voted to review their operating budget in order to discuss COVID-19-related changes, the KPMG operational review, and the possible amendments to the Alberta provincial budget.

“As the City looks to build more financial flexibility, there may be a shift in priorities,” reads a media release from the City of Lethbridge. “Feedback from residents about programs and services they value and the issues they want prioritized will be critical in informing City Council’s upcoming decisions.”

The survey is confidential and should take about 15-to-20 minutes to complete.

The city assures that there will be additional opportunities to voice your opinions this fall.
