New cases of COVID at Catholic Central High School and St. Joseph School

LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE: The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division confirmed Saturday night an additional case at Catholic Central High School.

There are now four active infections at the school, and 11 active cases within the division.

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has reported more cases of COVID-19 at its schools.

On Saturday, April 3, the division confirmed one new case at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge. There are now three active infections at the school.

One case was reported at St. Joseph School. It’s the lone active infection at the Coaldale school.

The division says all close contacts have been informed and are required to quarantine while following the directives of Alberta Health Services.

It could not be reported if these cases involved staff members or students.

As of April 3, there are 10 active cases within the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division:

  • Three at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge
  • Two at Father Leonard Van Tighem School in Lethbridge
  • One at St. Catherine School in Picture Butte
  • One at St. Joseph School in Coaldale
  • Two at St. Mary School in Taber
  • One at St. Paul School in Lethbridge

These cases have resulted in the isolation of roughly 250 staff and students.
