Lethbridge Police charge two men with multiple drug and other offences
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — The Lethbridge Police Service Priority Crimes Unit has charged two men with multiple drug, proceeds of crime and other offences after a short investigation.
Around 2:00-pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, officers concluded their investigation, with the stop of a vehil traffic stop of a vehicle in the 2200-block of 9 Avenue South, and the subsequent arrest of two Lethbridge men.
As a result of the arrest and search of the subject vehicle, police seized about 160 grams of methamphetamine, 132 grams of fentanyl, four grams of cocaine and some prescription pills. The estimated street value of the drugs is $37,000 in total. Police also seized $4,295 cash as the proceeds of crime, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Shaun HLAVACH, 35, is charged: with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking; possession of a controlled substance; possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000; and breach of a release order stemming from an earlier drug-related arrest. He was remanded in custody with a court appearance set for April 22, 2021.
