LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two local companies are teaming up in an effort to raise $100,000 to support humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees.

Western Tractor and McCain Foods are hosting a ‘Free FryDay’ fundraising event today, Friday, June 17, 2022.

“Our goal is to raise $100,000 and collect enough supplies to fill a grain truck,” stated Steven Dyck, President of Western Tractor, in a news release.

McCain Foods will give away two bags of free products to anyone who visits a Western Tractor dealership during the designated time at the following locations:

  • Taber: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Lethbridge: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Monetary and supply donations are being accepted, such as non-perishable food items, first aid kits, clothes, blankets and snack items.

The two companies say they have partnered with three organizations to provide help to Ukrainians both domestically and abroad. They have partnered with Hungry For Life, Ukrainian Social Services, and Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
