Lethbridge crews respond to two residential fires Friday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire & EMS tackled two house fires in the city late Friday evening, November 18, 2022.

17 firefighters from three stations were first called to a home on the 1600 block of 19 Avenue North at approximately 9:20 p.m.

Crews were able to get the blaze under control in less than an hour.

There were no reported injuries to the residents or firefighters.

The investigation is ongoing and damage values have not been fully assessed at this time. A complete scene analysis is scheduled to be completed on Monday.

Then at approximately 9:35 p.m. on Friday, crews were called to a garage fire at 721 3 Street South.

17 firefighters from four stations responded and got the fire under control within two hours.

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries but no civilians were hurt.

Damage is estimated at $275,000. A complete scene analysis is scheduled to be completed on Monday.
