Skinner solid in net as Hurricanes win second straight
LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have their first winning streak of the 2017-18 campaign.
The ‘Canes picked up their second straight win Friday night (Oct. 6), downing the Prince Albert Raiders 4-1 on the back of a stellar performance from No. 1 goaltender Stuart Skinner, who was named first star of the game.
Calen Addison opened the scoring for the Hurricanes five minutes in with his first goal of the season, beating Raiders’ netminder Curtis Meger on a shot from the slot while on the power play.
The Hurricanes’ Tanner Nagel extended his club’s lead to 2-0 early in the second period. Not long after though, Sean Montgomery responded for Prince Albert, bringing them back to within one as they pulled ahead in shots.
