Woman Accused in Mother's Death Released on Bail

LETHBRIDGE - A woman accused in the death of her mother in Lethbridge earlier this year, has been released on bail.

Lisa Freihaut was charged with second degree murder on April 22, in connection with the death of her 78-year old mother, Irene Carter.

LETHBRIDGE - Between the two city food banks 54,598 pounds of food were collected during the weekend "Target Hunger" campaign.   However, they are still seeing bags coming in that were missed on pick up or forgotten to be put out on time!

Sentencing Hearing Set for Couple Found Guilty of Failing to Provide Necessaries of Life

LETHBRIDGE - A sentencing hearing has been set for a couple, who were found guilty of failing to provide the necessaries of life for their todler.

Ezekiel Stephan was just 18-months old when he died as a result of bacterial meningitis in March of 2012.

Three Bin Waste Carts Pegged A Success By Taber Public Works

TABER - The Town of Taber's three bin waste management disposal system has been well received, according to town officials.

Since March 2016, residents have been able to use colour-coded rolling carts to sort their waste, recycling and organics for curbside collection.
