With Kenow fire being held, some Waterton townsite residents return home

WATERTON - Slowly, but surely Waterton townsite residents are returning home today after Parks Canada announced a phased re-entry this morning.

The scene at the entrance to the park was much different today than over the past couple of weeks.

South Castle area remains closed at this time due to wildfire risk

PINCHER CREEK – Although there is no immediate threat to the Castle Mountain Resort area at this time, the south Castle region will remain closed for the foreseeable future, according to an update from Alberta Wildfire Officers who updated media at the MD of Pincher Creek Offices
