Second Annual Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open looking for volunteers

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you’re a lover of the game of golf, organizers for the upcoming Second Annual Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open, a Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event that runs from June 20 to 23, are looking for volunteers.

Several opportunities are available to choose from including Starters, Marshalling, Leaderboard, Transportation, and Standard Bearers. Anyone wanting to get up close to the players to learn how they play the game should consider volunteering as a Walking Scorer.

Volunteer Recruitment Chair Michelle Gallucci says following a group of players through 18 holes can provide tremendous insights on how a professional tackles the challenging Paradise Canyon golf course.

“At our volunteer recruitment Information and Registration Night a few weeks ago, we were thrilled to sign up 122 volunteers – but we need those numbers to grow,” Gallucci continued. “We will need approximately 250 volunteers to operate the type of professional golf tournament required by PGA TOUR Canada.”

Golfers from over 14 countries will be competing this year, and over 25 past players currently have PGA TOUR cards like Adam Hadwin, Corey Conners, Tony Finau, and Nick Taylor.

Organizers want to continue Lethbridge’s stellar reputation for providing first-class volunteerism and to show the players a welcoming, fun, and efficient experience again this year.
