LETHBRIDGE, AB – Just in time for the May long weekend, the City of Lethbridge’s spray parks are officially open for the season as of Friday, May 20, 2022.

The largest spray park in the city is the Legacy spray park. Located at the north end of Legacy Park and at 550 square metres, it now offers the largest spray park in the entire city.

It features three circular splash zones divided into a tot area, a family area and a five to 12 years of age area. Each zone has a handprint activator, which triggers the water flow to the features in that zone.

The Legacy spray park also has tables, benches, lounge chairs and seat walls to offer fun for the whole family on a hot day. There is a grassed area as well, with tables and shade sails. Restrooms and change rooms are located in the Pavilion building next to the spray park.

In addition to Legacy spray park opening, Rotary Centennial Fountain, which is located in the southeast corner of Galt Gardens, and Gyro spray park, located behind Nicholas Sheran Arena, are now open.

Spray parks are free to use for all visitors at all locations. The parks will remain open until the Labour Day long weekend in September, or as summer weather permits.

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily for all three locations.
