LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Transit is updating routes, and providing service to two communities that did not have it before.

Beginning on Monday, August 21, 2023, on-demand transit service is being made available in the Southridge and Paradise Canyon communities.

City of Lethbridge Innovation and Planning Manager Joel McDonald said, “With the on-demand service, we now have coverage to almost one hundred per cent of all residential communities in the city of Lethbridge.”

He added, “Paradise Canyon and Southridge are two new additions that have never had transit service before, so those are the kind of improvements we are looking to do today and in the future.”

Effective Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Route 51 Red Crow will now travel along Jerry Potts Boulevard, Metis Trail and Garry Drive. Eight new stops will be in service, with two on Jerry Potts Boulevard, two on Metis Trail, and four on Garry Drive.

With the change, stop #13357, on Red Crow Boulevard and Salish Place, will be closed.

The City also announced that the westside ATB Centre Station has been renamed the Crossings Station.

Riders can find information about the new stops and times at the City of Lethbridge website.
