Daylight saving time 2018: clocks move ahead and a chance to check smoke alarms
LETHBRIDGE – It’s that time of year, the clocks move ahead tonight.
When the local standard time reaches 2 a.m. clocks will be turned forward one hour to 3 a.m.
The clocks moving forward is also a reminder to take important safety measure to protect your family.
Fire & Emergency Services are encouraging residents to take time this weekend to change their smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector batteries because a working smoke detector is the best tool a person has for surviving a fire.
