Suffering from plantar Fasciitis? There are solutions

Nov 24, 2019 | 10:38 PM

Feet are important and many people carry on with their lives without much thought about them, until they begin to hurt.

“The most common ailment we see is plantar fasciitis” says, Emilie Soper, Certified Pedorthist.

“It seems to be a common problem and many people either have had it or know someone who has.” continues Soper.

“The general treatment has always been thought to just get a foot orthotic and that will magically relieve all the pain. But depending on what’s causing the issue a foot orthotic may only relieve the pain temporarily.”

The most common cause for plantar fasciitis is usually a tight calf and stretching multiple times a day can provide a lot of relief. Unfortunately, people forget about the pain once it’s gone and do not continue to stretch and you can get pain all over again, sometimes even worse than before.

As a society, we want instant fixes for our problems but unfortunately the problem took many months or years to develop and isn’t easily fixed over night. At Adaptive Technologies, they are not just trying to sell you a device but educate you about what will help you in the long run.

“Of course, foot orthotics are very beneficial for treating a lot of foot issues, especially plantar fasciitis, but we do not believe that it is the only course of action in improving your foot health,” notes Ryan Cochrane.

“The best advice is to come into our office for a free consultation to see what issues you may be experiencing and if an orthotic would be a good option for you.”

Adaptive Technologies strives to provide honest and trustworthy advice, so that you can make a better decision in regards to your foot health.
