Three Hurricanes named to Team WHL for 2018 CIBC Canada Russia Series

LETHBRIDGE – Three Lethbridge Hurricanes have been added to the Team WHL roster for the upcoming 2018 CIBC Canada Russia Series.

Hurricanes captain Jordy Bellerive will be joined by forward Dylan Cozens and defenceman Calen Addison for the first two games of the series, which will be played in Kamloops on Nov. 5 and Vancouver Nov. 6.

Bellerive and Addison are both already property of the Pittsburgh Penguins, while Cozens is eligible for the 2019 NHL draft.

The six-game series will feature Team Russia going up against three regional Canadian Hockey League teams for two games apiece. After facing the Western Hockey League, Team Russia will play squads from the Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The CHL has won the last three series, which first began in 2003. Since then, CHL teams have compiled a record of 61-22-1-6 and have won 12 series, to Russia’s three.

The games can all be seen nationally on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
