Air Show Hopes to be Bigger and Better in 2017
LETHBRIDGE – As part of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, the 2017 Lethbridge International Air Show is hoping to be bigger than ever.
Council agreed that the Mayor’s Office will write a letter of support for the Air Show Association to apply for a grant from the Department of Canadian Heritage 150 Fund.
The fund is available for any heritage event in Canada that has coincides with the 150th Anniversary. It will also mark the Air Show’s 25th Anniversary.
Past President, Brent Botfield, says it only continues to grow in popularity, even after switching to holding the show only every two years now. He hopes the two anniversaries will draw an even bigger attendance.
