LETHBRIDGE – Four Lethbridge Hurricanes have been included in the preliminary Players to Watch list, released by NHL Central Scouting.

Hurricanes netminder Stuart Skinner made the list as an ‘A’ prospect, meaning he’s considered a candidate to be selected in the first round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft next summer.

Forwards Jordy Bellerive, Brayden Burke and Brett Davis were included as ‘C’ prospects, indicating a fourth round pick or later.

The 17-year old Skinner is in his third season with the team and has posted a 3-1-0-0 record with a 3.27 goals against average (GAA) and .914 save percentage (SV%) to this point. He’s coming off a 2015-16 campaign in which he sported a 27-10-1-0 record and had a 2.73 GAA and .920 SV%. Skinner was also the only WHL goalie to be included on the list as an ‘A’ prospect.

Bellerive and Davis, both 17-years old, are going into their second season with club, while Burke, 19, is playing his third season.

The 2017 NHL draft will take place June 23-24 at the United Center in Chicago.
