“Issues of Our Time” the theme of this year’s Lethbridge International Film Festival
LETHBRIDGE – The 33rd annual Lethbridge International Film Festival gets underway in one week (March 19-24) at the Downtown Lethbridge Public Library location, featuring not only one locally made film, but also several selections from around the world.
Festival President Trevor Page says some of the biggest issues the world is facing include conservation, climate change, food security, migration and the threat of a war with North Korea are part of this year’s theme “Issues of Our Time.”
Lethbridge wildlife photographer and filmmaker Rick Andrews’ film “Wildlife of the Old Man River” will be one of the featured documentaries.
“It shows the beautiful areas we have right on our doorstep,” says Page, “The wildlife there, and if we don’t conserve them, we’re going to lose them.”
