Lethbridge County launching new phone survey for business retention and expansion in the region

Jul 4, 2018 | 1:39 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge County will launch a new Business Retention & Expansion phone survey beginning on Wednesday, July 4, to better understand the future plans and needs of local businesses.

They’ll also be looking at how business owners and managers view the community as a place to do business.

Lethbridge County has retained MDB Insight, an economic development consulting firm to assist with the project, and they’ll be beginning calls starting today. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

The information from the survey will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on the top priorities of local businesses.

MDB Insight will work with County administration to review the completed surveys for challenges and opportunities that the local business community faces. Selection is random, but businesses are encouraged to participate in the telephone survey if they are contacted.

In a release, the County says a vibrant economic environment is a pillar under its 2018 Strategic Plan, with the goal that businesses can grow and thrive in the area.

This survey will provide staff with valuable information on the business environment, challenges, and opportunities.
