Addison named to Team Canada’s WJHC selection camp roster
CALGARY – Hockey Canada named 34 players to its selection camp roster on Monday, Dec. 3, in preparation for the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championship in Vancouver and Victoria.
Lethbridge Hurricanes defenceman Calen Addison is the only Hurricane representative on the list of hopefuls, and only seven players from the Western Hockey League were named.
Addison, 18, is one of 12 defenseman that have been invited to the selection camp for Team Canada . The product of Brandon, Manitoba has recorded 28 points (4g-24a) along with 30 penalty minutes in 27 games this season for the Hurricanes.
The 5’10, 180-pound defenseman was selected in the second round, 53rd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL Entry Draft in June after a career-high 65 points (11g-54a) in 68 games last season.
