Lethbridge Hurricanes focused on the task at hand as playoff opener rapidly approaches
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The clocks have gone ahead, the sunshine has returned, and that means the Western Hockey League playoffs are right around the corner.
This week’s preparations for the Lethbridge Hurricanes have already begun, with the team getting ready to host the Calgary Hitmen for Game 1 of the opening round on Friday, Mar. 22.
The Hurricanes enter the playoffs in a much different spot than a year ago, having won eight straight games down the stretch to lock up the 2nd spot in the Central Division and home-ice against the Hitmen.
During the regular season, Lethbridge finished 5-1 in six games against Calgary, but Hurricanes head coach Brent Kisio isn’t putting much stock into that record because the playoffs are a whole new season.
