New COVID case confirmed at St. Teresa of Calcutta School, bringing the school’s total to five infections

LETHBRIDGE, AB – One new case of COVID has been confirmed at St. Teresa of Calcutta School in Lethbridge.

This now brings the total case count at the school to five.

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division said that all close contacts have been notified and are required to quarantine following the directives provided by Alberta Health Services (AHS).

The division could not confirm if the new case involved a staff member or student.

As of Saturday evening (March 6), there are 10 active cases within the division. Holy Spirit has confirmed the five infections at St. Teresa of Calcutta School, two at Ecole St. Mary, and three at St. Francis Junior High School.

These cases have resulted in the isolation of roughly 260 staff and students.
