LETHBRIDGE: A man arrested in Lethbridge Monday morning on a Canada-wide warrant, is being sent back to a psychiatric facility in British Columbia.

In June of 2010, David Fomradas was found not criminally responsible because of a mental disorder on charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, mischief and theft of a motor vehicle. Moving ahead to November, 2015, he was ordered to report to the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam B.C. on February 10. When he failed to show up the warrant was issued.

Since he was originally from Lethbridge and still has ties to the community, it was believed he would return here. It was also noted he could be violent when not taking his medication and shouldn’t be approached.

Police tracked Fomradas to his mother’s house in Lethbridge early Monday morning, where they found him hiding in a storage bin in the living room.
