Provincial Championship Within Grasp of Val Matteotti Bantam AAA Golden Hawks

LETHBRIDGE: The Val Matteotti Bantam AAA Golden Hawks continue their push for the Provincial Championship.

The boys won the first two games of a best-of-five in Sherwood Park against the Flyers last weekend.

The Goldenhawks shut out the Flyers 3-0 in the first game and took the second game 4-3 in over-time.

Games three and four move to Nicholas Sheran arena in Lethbridge on Saturday and Sunday (March 19th and 20th), with the Hawks hoping to wrap things up and capture the Provincial Championship with the third game.

If the Hawks win the Provincial Championship, they move on to the Western Canada Bantam Champtionship. The round-robin tournament takes place in Okotoks beginning March 31st.
