Trial Date Set for Triple Murder Suspect Derek Saretzky

LETHBRIDGE – A trial will begin next May for triple murder suspect Derek Saretzky.
He’s charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Terry Blanchette and his 2-year-old daughter Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette last September near Blairmore.
In April, police added a third murder charge in the slaying of Hanna Meketech, whose death occurred five days before the others.
A voir dire for the Saretzky case will begin before the trial – running from April 18 to 28, 2017 – to determine the admissibility of some evidence.
