Amber Alert Continues For Missing 5-Year-Old Child

CALGARY:   An Amber Alert remains in effect this morning for a five-year-old Calgary girl whose mother was found dead in the basement suite where the two of them lived.

Relatives are describing Taliyah Leigh Marsman as a vivacious and curly-head little girl.

Her uncle, Scott Hamilton, is asking whoever might have the child to drop her off at an R-C-M-P station, a grocery store or anywhere she will be safe.

Relatives first became concerned when the girl’s mother Sara Baillie didn’t show up for her job at a Calgary airport restaurant.

Officers found her body on Monday evening and issued the Amber Alert for the girl within hours.
