BROOKS — Starting pitcher Landen Bourassa allowed just three hits in six innings, as the Lethbridge Bulls downed the Brooks Bombers 7-2 in Western Major Baseball League play Tuesday, June 20.

Bulls first baseman Alex Bishop was three-for-four with two runs, including his fourth home run of the season, and had two RBIs. Most of the Bulls’ scoring came in a six-run second inning.

It was the first start of the season for Bourassa, who hails from Lethbridge and recently graduated from Lane Community College in Eugene, Ore. Bourassa has been signed to a scholarship with the University of San Francisco for this fall.

With the win the Bulls improve to 10-5, half a game back of division-leading Okotoks. Their next game is Thursday, June 22 at home to the Bombers.
