Morrison named WHL On the Run Player of the Week

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Brad Morrison has been named WHL On the Run Player of the Week for the week ending March 25.

Morrison had three goals, five assists and a plus-four rating in the Hurricanes first two playoff games as Lethbridge jumped out to a 2-0 lead in their first-round series against the Red Deer Rebels.

In the playoff opener on Friday, March 23, Morrison tallied a goal and an assist as the Hurricanes won by a 6-0 score. On Saturday night, Morrison had a career-best performance, scoring a pair of goals and putting up six points in total in the Hurricanes’ 8-3 win over the Rebels.

For his efforts Saturday, Morrison was named the first star of the game and the first star of the night across the WHL.

Following his performance over the weekend, the 6-foot-0, 171-pound product of Prince George, B.C. now has 19 points (6G-13A) in 13 career WHL Playoff games.

Through the first four days of action in the 2018 WHL Playoffs, Morrison leads the league in assists and points while sitting in a five-way tie for fourth in goal scoring.
