AAA Hurricanes headed to Telus Cup

CHILLIWACK, B.C. – The Lethbridge AAA Hurricanes are headed to their first ever national tournament.

Over the weekend, the Hurricanes won the Pacific Regional title in Chilliwack, securing the best-of-three series over the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds in two games. The AAA ‘Canes won 5-3 Friday, April 6, followed by a 6-1 victory Saturday, April 7.

Lethbridge had earlier won their first Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League title in a best-of-five series over an Edmonton team.

The victory earns the AAA Hurricanes a berth in the Telus Cup, which runs April 23-29 in Sudbury, Ont.
