Delayed start for West Jet Link service to five locations, including Lethbridge
CALGARY – Just two months after West Jet announced it would be offering a new regional air service which would include Lethbridge, the airline issued an apology early Wednesday (Jan 31) evening that the start date would be delayed.
On November 24, 2017, West Jet unveiled the new air service, operating under a capacity purchase agreement (CPA) with Pacific Coastal Airlines, would commence in March of 2018.
Wednesday’s announcement outlined the start of the new service will now commence on staggered dates in June 2018, due to Pacific Coastal continuing work to be fully able to meet WestJet’s operational requirements.
West Jet Link routes and revised launch dates will see the Calgary to Cranbrook and Calgary to Prince George flights begin on June 20; the Calgary to Lethbridge and Calgary to Lloydminster flights will begin on June 21; and the Calgary to Medicine Hat launch will be on June 22.
