Hurricanes’ Bellerive named WHL On the Run Player of the Week
LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Hurricanes captain Jordy Bellerive has been named WHL On the Run Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 18, the Western Hockey League announced today (Feb. 20).
Bellerive, a Pittsburgh Penguins prospect, registered 10 points (5G-5A) and had a plus-six rating in five games to lead the Hurricanes to four victories over the week.
In a 5-2 win against the Kootenay ICE on Monday, Feb. 12, Bellerive opened his week with a goal and three points, picking up third star honours in the game.
After picking up a single assist in a 6-3 loss to the Tri-City Americans the following night, Bellerive helped the Hurricanes rebound with a goal and an assist on Friday, Feb. 19 as they defeated the Saskatoon Blades 5-4.
