Edmonton Man Charged with Possession at Kainai Indian Days

STAND OFF – A man from Edmonton was brought up on stolen property and drug charges on Saturday in Stand Off.

Blood Tribe Police responded to an anonymous tip, where they later arrested the 19-year old at Red Crow Park on the Blood Indian Reserve, during the Annual Kainai Indian Days Celebration.

Jimmi Karnell Calling Bull was found in possession of over $150 cash, two cell phones and 80.5 suspected Oxy 80 pills which were valued at $4830. He’s been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police also discovered that he was wanted by the Edmonton Police Service on a Form 21 warrant, typically issued for unpaid fines for certain summary, by-law and provincial offenses.

Calling Bull was remanded into custody, and will appear at 10:00-am on Monday, July 18 in Cardston Provincial Court.
