Lethbridge Rugby Star Ashley Steacy Takes Home Bronze At Rio

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Rugby star, Ashley Steacy, has helped Team Canada women’s rugby sevens claim Bronze medal status at the Rio Olympics this afternoon (Aug. 8).

The final score was 33-10, against Great Britain.

Canada bounced back, after falling 17-5 to Australia to start the day.

It’s believed Steacy is the first Lethbridge resident to win an Olympic medal since Robert Kasting in 1972.
