LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Police have charged a 26-year-old woman and 25-year-old man in connection with robbery and assault on Tuesday, July 18, at a local grocery store that was shared on social media.

According to police, shortly after 11:00 a.m. the woman entered London Road Market and took several items including a glass bottle of pop.

She then left the store without paying. A staff member confronted her, along with the man who she met up with outside and allegedly asked her to return the stolen items.

The man then began punching the employee and a physical altercation then ensued.

As the employee struggled with the man on the ground, the woman allegedly smashed the glass bottle and used the broken end as a weapon.

At that point, the employee and a citizen who had stopped to help backed them off and the two fled the area.

Police say they located the subjects a short time later, while the employee sustained a non-life-threatening injury to his face.

26-year-old Constance Red Crow and 25-year-old Dennis Noskey, both from Lethbridge, are charged with robbery, two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

They were remanded to appear in court today.
