Eight dogs confiscated from Innisfail hotel room; woman charged
RED DEER – Eight dogs have been seized from a hotel room in Innisfail.
Innisfail RCMP say they received a complaint of a suspicious female around 11:30 p.m. July 17 at the Blue Bird Motel on 42 Avenue. She reportedly had the dogs in her possession while in violation of a court order to not possess any animals.
During a separate investigation, Innisfail Mounties say they received a complaint of a female posing as a law enforcement professional asking questions of a dog owner about her dog and allegedly trying to take it.
Karin Adams, 46, of no fixed address was arrested and charged with mischief, personating a peace officer, fail to obtain dog license (eight counts), driving a motor vehicle without holding a valid license, trespassing and harbouring more than three dogs.
