Lethbridge Police intercept masked, armed men as they exit vehicle
LETHBRIDGE – An investigation into a stolen vehicle and a hit and run collision, led Lethbridge Police to potentially stopping a robbery at a north side convenience store.
Around 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, police observed a stolen Dodge Cirrus in the parking lot of 7-11 and Ace Liquor along the 2600 block of Scenic Drive North. They noted that the vehicle had previously been involved in a hit and run and the two occupants were known to them.
As the officers approached the vehicle, two masked men got out – one armed with a collapsible baton and the other with a knife – and both were promptly taken into custody without incident.
After investigating further, 21-year-old Levi Cyprian Harris and 18-year-old Alexander Roxby Styra were charged.
