LETHBRIDGE – The crowd was electric at Average Joe’s for Gord Bamford’s stop in Lethbridge last night.

In honour of his latest No. 1 single, Dive Bar, Bamford is touring Canada playing smaller clubs, but he’s bringing an arena class tour with him.

The Honkytonks & Divebars tour had one of the neatest lineups I’ve ever seen in a live show. Bamford took the stage first and introduced JoJo Mason.

A highlight of the night was Mason’s high energy performance. He played just four songs, including his hit Future, and had the crowd excited and loud during his act.

Mason and Bamford teamed up for a song as a transition back to Bamford’s set – firing up the crowd.

There were some fun moments of crowd interaction as well, Bamford signed a poster that a woman in the front row held up. He also made the night for a few people in the front row, grabbing their hands while performing.

Bamford invited his tour manager onto the stage to sing one song and the crowd loved it. A little detail that was eye catching, was the poppy on the bassist’s instrument.

After a few songs, Bamford took another break, letting Jade Eagleson take the stage for a few songs. This is Eagleson’s first tour, having just dropped his debut EP in mid-October. He has a natural stage presence and was easy and fun to watch. The crowd seemed enthralled with the young man on stage who performed in front of the crowd with ease.

The same band stayed on to play through all the acts. Kudos to the band for staying high energy and fun to watch throughout the entire concert.

All-in-all, the Honkytonks & Divebars tour brought a big production style show to a small bar in Lethbridge, sending everyone home happy.
