Lethbridge Hurricanes announce 2017-2018 award winners

LETHBRIDGE – Prior to their game Saturday night (Mar. 10) against the Regina Pats, the Lethbridge Hurricanes handed out the hardware in announcing their 2017-2018 annual Award Winners at the ENMAX Centre.

A total of ten awards were presented:

Kodiak Heating & Air Conditioning Fan Favourite: Jadon Joseph

Hockey Hounds Scholastic Player of the Year: Logan Barlage

Herman Elfring Community Relations Award: Jake Elmer

ENMAX Hardest Working Player: Ty Prefontaine

Tommy Gun’s Top Scorer: Jordy Bellerive

Simpson Plumbing Top Defenseman: Igor Merezhko

106.7 ROCK Three Stars Award: Jordy Bellerive

Carl Trentini Memorial Award (Rookie of the Year): Dylan Cozens

Harry Ingarfield Memorial Award (Most Valuable Player): Jordy Bellerive

Joan Kobal Memorial Award (Perseverance, Dedication & Sportsmanship): Logan Flodell

As the ceremonies concluded, the Hurricanes also saluted their three overage players Logan Flodell, Brad Morrison and Tate Olson by presenting them with hand-painted self-portraits.

The Hurricanes are next in action on Tuesday, Mar. 13 against the Edmonton Oil Kings and will play their final regular season home game on Friday, Mar. 16 when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers to the ENMAX Centre.
